Located at Ongwanada Resource Centre, the pharmacy is licensed by Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). The pharmacy dispenses medications, maintains individual profiles, reviews drug interactions, and monitors the use of medicines in cooperation with prescribers.
Ongwanada pharmacy provides clinical services such as med checks, smoking cessation services including prescribing of prescription cessation products, administers vaccines to any patient older than five years for 13 vaccine-preventable diseases (Haemophilus Influenza Type B, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Herpes Zoster, Human Papillomavirus, Japanese Encephalitis, Meningitis, Pneumococcal Disease, Rabies, Tuberculosis, Typhoid Disease, Varicella Virus and Yellow Fever). Appointments for such services are recommended please call 613-548-4417 ext. 1126/1128.
Drug information services are available to all pharmacy clientele.
In-service and individual training is available to Ongwanada staff.
