POSITION:
To support and advise the Manager, Clinical Information Services in a full range of expertise encompassing analytics, data management and health information in support of organizational activities. The Decision Support Analyst will provide analytical support to departments/programs/services across Ongwanada as well as to key strategic, quality, performance and financial initiatives. The Analyst will work in collaboration with key stakeholders to provide in depth analysis, insightful interpretation and presentation of data, while maintaining the appropriate technical specifications/documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collate and Analyze where applicable, various daily, monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports, including; Service utilization and service predictions, Respite activity, aggregate reports related to the Person Centred process, Organizational Key Performance Indicators and outcome measures
- Complaints and feedback annual report
- Continue to expand the EMR platform by accruing feedback from staff and clinicians
- Undertake analysis of data quality in the EMR, providing feedback and guidance to staff as required to ensure highest possible quality data and information to facilitate client care, safety and decision-making
- Review of data sources within the organization and manage integration of data and collaborate with key partners and peers to identify new data sources to incorporate into various analysis
- Assist Manager in the development and design of organizational Key Performance Indicators, service outcome measures, service utilization, CQI activity and risk management
- Provide ongoing support and/or participate actively on a variety of committees

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an approved Health Information Management/Science Program or related field
- Certified with professional association and in good standing
- 2 years of experience in a Health Information Services setting or equivalent
- Working knowledge of electronic health records and information management systems, Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Sound judgment, tact, diplomacy and maintenance of confidentiality on all matters relating to the organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail in day-to-day work with focus on quality of work, accuracy and customer service
- Effective communication and organization skills with client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services
- Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
