Social Work

Social workers provide assessments and counselling to clients and families as well as referrals to the most appropriate service or agency. In consultation with the client and family they coordinate admissions and discharge, discuss placement and programming options, and contribute as part of an interdisciplinary team to individual planning.

Social Work Eligibility: Available on a referral basis to children and adults who have a developmental disability, and to their families when the person with a disability is living in an Ongwanada home or is supported by another Ongwanada program.

Area served: Frontenac County. Lennox & Addington for an initial assessment only.

Waiting period: One to four weeks.
